The Society provides funding to conservation projects across the UK.
We work closely with fellow charitable and conservation organisations to achieve our mission. Notable projects we have contributed to include funding a new alpine house at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) and working with the RSPB, Natural England and United Utilities to restore native alpine plants to RSPB Haweswater in the Lake District.
We are passionate about educating and training the alpine gardeners of the future. In 2018, we are proud to be funding a one year trainee placement focused on alpine plants at RBGE. Our organisation also administers grants and awards to further research into all aspects of alpine plants in the wild and in cultivation. Travel awards are also available to those wishing to gain field experience in the study of alpine plants in their native habitat.
