Steppes: The Plants and Ecology of the World's Semi-arid Regions

Steppes are expansive grasslands where a huge number of crops and garden plants originated. Despite their horticultural importance, little has been written about them. This book, due to be published in August 2015 by Timber Press in association with Denver Botanic Gardens, surveys all the world’s steppe regions in North and South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. It highlights the plants in each area and gives climatic and geological descriptions.
